October 13 – Byron, Illinois Turkey Testicle Festival

The annual Byron, Illinois Turkey Testicle Festival is scheduled for Friday, October 12th through Saturday, October 13th. A few of us are planning a trip out on Saturday.

I’m not big on eating turkey testicles, but apparently some of the Wild Hogs are into that sort of thing. Did you know that the Byron Turkey Testicle Festival is the OLDEST such festival in the nation!!! How could you pass on this?

Regardless, the ride out there is always good. The Rock River in Illinois has some fun roads that parallel the river.

Where: Thornton’s (in Cary)

When: 8:30 am

Route/Duration: This ride will take us West on 176, West on Route 20 towards Rockford, and then continue South on Route 2.
